Find Senior Care in MalaysiaEditorial responsibility
AssistedLivingMalaysia.org Editorial Team · Editorial framework updated 7 September 2026.
This page provides senior-care decision support, not medical advice. Provider fees, availability, registration or licensing status, staffing and care capability can change. Verify material claims with the provider and the relevant authority before making a placement or clinical decision.
People-first purpose
The purpose of the site is to help a family make a better senior-care decision. Pages should answer a concrete decision, not exist merely because a keyword combination can be generated. City pages should contain local evidence and logistics that matter in that city. Care-intent pages should use decision criteria specific to that type of care rather than repeating a generic facility template.
Source hierarchy
We prefer primary or official sources for regulatory status, legislation and public healthcare information. Examples include JKM, the Ministry of Health and state health departments. Provider websites, written quotations and direct provider communications can be useful for provider-specific services or prices, but they are treated as provider-supplied information and should carry a date where material. Third-party directories, reviews and social posts may help discover questions or providers, but they are not automatically treated as authoritative evidence.
When a source cannot support a claim, the claim should be removed, narrowed or labelled as unverified. We do not fill an evidence gap with a plausible number simply because a page would look tidier with one.
AI-assisted drafting and translation
AI-assisted drafting, structured generation and translation tools may be used to help produce and maintain pages. AI output is not treated as a factual source. The editorial standard is that important factual statements must be checked against appropriate evidence, especially where the information can affect health, safety, money or provider selection.
Automated translation is also not a substitute for local-language quality. Malay and Chinese pages should be understandable to Malaysian readers and should preserve the meaning, uncertainty and source boundaries of the English version rather than manufacturing stronger claims in translation.
Authorship and review labels
Pages use the organisational byline “AssistedLivingMalaysia.org Editorial Team” unless a named contributor is genuinely responsible and has agreed to be identified. We do not describe content as “medically reviewed,” “doctor reviewed” or “expert reviewed” without a real reviewer and a review process that can be documented. A page update date means the page or its editorial framework changed; it should not be used to create fake freshness.
Corrections and uncertainty
Information that is time-sensitive should be rechecked before it is relied upon. If a provider price, service or status cannot be confirmed, the safer editorial choice is to show the uncertainty rather than publish a precise-looking estimate. When a material error is identified, the page should be corrected and the underlying source record updated. A monitored public corrections contact should be added once the site owner provides a real contact address; this build deliberately does not invent one.
